How it works?

How it works?

First things first…

To participate in an auction, you must first register. Registration is fast and easy. Simply click on the “Register Me” button on the main page.

After you have completed registration, you need to buy bids. Bids cost $.50 each and come in various Bid Pack sizes. Every time you place a bid on an auction, that bid is deducted from your bid balance. Bids can be purchased using your credit card or with a PayPal account.

Loaded up on bids? Okay, time to pick an auction you want to bid on...

You will see nine different auction boxes at any given time. You can bid on as many of these auctions as you’d like.

Don’t see anything you want to bid on? Remember, any item that you win can be exchanged for more bids that you can use at a future date.

Our members normally utilize one of two different strategies:

1) Pick newly listed auctions. Because the reserve is randomly set, that iPad2 up for auction is just as likely to go for $.05 as it is for $20.00. A few well placed bids early in an auction can score a tremendous bargain.

    2) Watch for auctions that are getting close to ending. Each auction has a hidden reserve price that must be met before the item sells. Each auction has a posted range that gives you an idea of what the reserve is set at. By comparing the current price to this range you can pinpoint an optimal time to bid.

Now it’s time to place some Bids…

You can bid on an auction from the main page, or you can access the auction through the subpage by clicking on the auction picture. (It is recommended that you bid on auctions through the subpage.) Remember: Every time you place a bid, it is taken out of your bid account and cannot be reused or returned.

There are 2 ways to bid:

1)      Single Bid – Simply click on the “BID” button and you will increase the price of the auction by $.01. If this new price matches the reserve price, YOU WIN! If the new price does not match the reserve price, you can bid again.

    2)      Bid Blitz – This is a unique feature to our site that allows for a great strategy. When you Bid Blitz, you lock all other bidders out from that auction and fire off bids from your account until the reserve price is hit. This is a great feature to use on auctions in which the price is getting close to the high end of the reserve range. You can read more about this feature under FAQ section.

You won?!?!  Sweet, here’s what you do…

We will immediately send you an email asking you to accept your win. Once you do this, you will be redirected to pay for the item. Once you have paid for the item using our secure credit card processor we ship you the item, usually within 24 hours.

Additional stuff…

SpeedyFinger.com is different than any other online auction you have participated in before. This is not like eBay©.

-All merchandise is brand new, factory sealed.

-There are no timers. The auction does not end until the reserve is met.

-While the item’s final price is super cheap, remember it does cost $.50 to place a bid.

Before purchasing bids, we recommend that you watch the auctions for a little while and make sure you completely understand how our auctions work! We occasionally offer “Bid for Free” auctions that allow you to try us out before you invest in any bids. Thank you for visiting SpeedyFinger.com.
